Amend SB 2 (senate committee report) in SECTION 2 of the bill, after added Section 29.351, Education Code (page 1, between lines 58 and 59), by inserting the following appropriately numbered section:
Sec. 29.____. APPLICABILITY TO NONPARTICIPATING HOME-SCHOOL STUDENTS. The requirements in this subchapter that apply to a child who participates in the program or the child's parent do not apply to a home-schooled student, as defined by Section 29.916, who is not participating in the program or the student's parent.
