Amend SB 27 (house committee printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
SECTION ____. Subchapter C, Chapter 11, Education Code, is amended by adding Section 11.0622 to read as follows:
Sec. 11.0622. MEETINGS REGARDING PERSONNEL MATTERS. (a) The notice, including the agenda, of a regular or special meeting of the board of trustees of a school district in which the district is considering a necessary reduction in personnel on the basis of a financial exigency declared under Section 44.011 may not include any identifying information of an employee who may be released or whose contract may be terminated or not renewed because of the reduction.
(b) The board of trustees shall take reasonable steps to ensure that the identifying information of an employee described by Subsection (a) is removed from any board meeting materials that may be released to the public.
