Amend SB 1055 (house committee report) on page 1 by striking lines 7 and 8 and substituting the following:

(c)  A [The] fee imposed under this section must be, by rate or in total, in an amount equal to or as similar to as possible any equivalent fee charged by the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District [may not exceed one cent per thousand gallons of groundwater withdrawn for any purpose].
