Amend CSSB 1871 (senate committee report) as follows:

(1)  Strike the recital to SECTION 6 of the bill (page 4, lines 24 and 25) and substitute the following:

SECTION 6.  Section 37.006, Education Code, is amended by amending Subsections (a), (b), (c), and (d) and adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows:

(2)  In SECTION 6 of the bill, in amended Section 37.006(d)(1)(B), Education Code (page 5, line 48), between "(B)" and "engages", insert "except as provided by Subsection (d-1),".

(3)  In SECTION 6 of the bill, immediately following amended Section 37.006(d), Education Code (page 5, between lines 61 and 62), insert the following:

(d-1)  A student may be removed from class under Subsection (d)(1)(B) for conduct described by Section 37.124(c)(1)(A) only if the conduct is wilful, repeated, and documented.
