Amend CSSB 2619 (senate committee report) in SECTION 1 of the bill, by striking added Section 11.0585(c), Education Code (page 1, lines 40 through 47) and substituting the following:

(c)  Notwithstanding any other law, one year after the date on which the board of trustees receives notice under Subsection (b), the term of each trustee on the board of trustees of a school district to which this section applies expires. The resulting vacancies shall be filled by election at the next regularly scheduled election of trustees for the district and the trustees elected to fill those vacancies shall draw lots for staggered terms as provided by Section 11.059.
