Committee Report (Substituted) |
AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
Currently, Dallas County's Veterans Service Office is operating outside of statute, as it reports to a county executive and not the commissioners court.
The committee substitute for this legislation allows a county to have the Veterans County Service Office report to a designated county executive official, instead of the commissioners court.
C.S.S.B. 651 amends current law relating to the requirement that a veterans county service office report to the commissioners court or a designated county executive official.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
