A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the translation of certain forms and information |
|
|
associated with complaints filed with the Texas Commission on |
|
|
Environmental Quality. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 5.176, Water Code, is amended by adding |
|
|
Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) The commission shall provide for the translation of the |
|
|
following into Arabic, Hindi, Mandarin, Tagalog, and Urdu: |
|
|
(1) any information provided through a publicly |
|
|
available Internet-based system for accessing or monitoring a |
|
|
complaint file maintained under Subsection (a); and |
|
|
(2) the form associated with the Internet-based |
|
|
complaint submission procedure established under Subsection (b). |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
