A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the eligibility of certain persons for relocation |
|
|
assistance from the state or a political subdivision. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 21.046(e), Property Code, is repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The repeal by this Act of Section 21.046(e), |
|
|
Property Code, applies only to a move or discontinuation that |
|
|
occurs as a result of an action taken by this state or a political |
|
|
subdivision of this state on or after the effective date of this |
|
|
Act. A move or discontinuation that occurs as a result of an action |
|
|
taken before the effective date of this Act is governed by the law |
|
|
as it existed immediately before that date, and the former law is |
|
|
continued in effect for that purpose. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
