SECTION 1. STUDY ON RURAL FIREFIGHTING AND TECHNICAL RESCUE |
SERVICE CAPABILITIES. (a) In this Act, "service" means the Texas |

(b) The service shall conduct a study of rural firefighting |

firefighting and rescue personnel; and |
(4) any other factor the service considers relevant. |
SECTION 2. REPORT. Not later than December 1, 2026, the |
service shall submit to the governor, the lieutenant governor, and |
the speaker of the house of representatives a report that includes |
the findings of the study and any recommendations based on the |
study. |
SECTION 3. EXPIRATION. This Act expires September 1, 2027. |
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect |
immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members |
