A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the composition of the board of directors of the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:

SECTION 1. Section 2210.102(d), Insurance Code, is amended to read as follows:

(d) Three members must reside in an area of this state that is located outside the first tier coastal counties [more than 100 miles from the Texas coastline].

SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
