A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of the Bandera County River Authority and |
|
|
Groundwater District to regulate structures near Medina Lake. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 8850, Special District |
|
|
Local Laws Code, is amended by adding Section 8850.0305 to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
Sec. 8850.0305. REGULATION OF STRUCTURES NEAR MEDINA LAKE. |
|
|
(a) The district may regulate the construction of structures |
|
|
within the boundaries of the district below the high water line of |
|
|
Medina Lake. |
|
|
(b) The district may adopt rules to govern the issuance of |
|
|
permits for the construction of structures within the boundaries of |
|
|
the district below the high water line of Medina Lake. Rules |
|
|
adopted under this section must exempt from a permitting |
|
|
requirement structures constructed by a political subdivision. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
