A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to standards and procedures for purchasing goods for |
|
|
resale by the Parks and Wildlife Department. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 11.0171, Parks and Wildlife Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) The executive director may establish standards and |
|
|
procedures for purchasing goods for resale by the department to |
|
|
meet the business needs of the department and increase revenue |
|
|
potential. Standards and procedures established under this |
|
|
subsection are not required to satisfy state procurement |
|
|
requirements related to competitive bidding or the use of state |
|
|
contracts. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
