A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the adjustment of the average daily attendance of a |
|
|
school district due to unsafe conditions. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 48.005, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d-1) The commissioner shall adjust the average daily |
|
|
attendance of a school district in which an unforeseen event |
|
|
results in unsafe conditions at a district campus, such as a power |
|
|
outage that lasts longer than an hour. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
