A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the applicability of certain generation reliability |
|
|
requirements. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 39.1592(a), Utilities Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) This section applies only to an electric generation |
|
|
facility in the ERCOT power region that is subject to [for which] a |
|
|
standard generator interconnection agreement, [is signed on or |
|
|
after January 1, 2027, that] has been in operation for at least one |
|
|
year, and [that] is not a self-generator. |
|
|
SECTION 2. (a) Sections 52(b) and (c), Chapter 410 (H.B. |
|
|
1500), Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, are |
|
|
repealed. |
|
|
(b) Notwithstanding the deadline provided by Section |
|
|
39.1592(b), Utilities Code, an owner or operator of an electric |
|
|
generation facility to which Section 39.1592(b), Utilities Code, |
|
|
applies shall make the first demonstration required by Section |
|
|
39.1592(b), Utilities Code, not later than January 1, 2027. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
