A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the disclosure by sellers of aggregates and concrete of |
|
|
the ingredients in and origin of the aggregates or concrete. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subtitle B, Title 5, Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Chapter 375 to read as follows: |
|
|
CHAPTER 375. PRODUCT DECLARATION FOR AGGREGATES AND CONCRETE |
|
|
Sec. 375.001. DEFINITION. In this subchapter, "aggregates" |
|
|
has the meaning assigned by Section 133.003, Natural Resources |
|
|
Code. |
|
|
Sec. 375.002. PRODUCT DECLARATION. The commission by rule |
|
|
shall require a seller of aggregates or concrete to provide to |
|
|
prospective purchasers of the aggregates or concrete a plainly |
|
|
written or printed document that contains the following information |
|
|
relating to the contents of the aggregates or concrete: |
|
|
(1) each ingredient included in the aggregates or |
|
|
concrete, including any additives; and |
|
|
(2) if applicable, the quarry or site from which the |
|
|
aggregates were extracted. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
