A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the transfer of certain real property from the Texas |
|
|
Department of Transportation to the Texas Department of Public |
|
|
Safety. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. (a) Not later than November 30, 2025, the Texas |
|
|
Department of Transportation shall transfer the real property |
|
|
described by Section 2 of this Act to the Texas Department of Public |
|
|
Safety, including the improvements affixed to the property. |
|
|
(b) The Texas Department of Transportation shall transfer |
|
|
the property by an appropriate instrument of transfer that |
|
|
describes the property to be transferred by metes and bounds. |
|
|
(c) Chapter 202, Transportation Code, and Sections 31.1571, |
|
|
31.158, and 31.159, Natural Resources Code, do not apply to the |
|
|
transfer of real property authorized by Subsection (a) of this |
|
|
section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The real property to which Section 1 of this Act |
|
|
applies is described as follows: |
|
|
The real property title to which is held by the Texas |
|
|
Department of Transportation consisting of the site of the Texas |
|
|
Department of Transportation maintenance barn and offices, |
|
|
situated primarily at 715 Pine Street, Woodville, Tyler County, |
|
|
Texas, constituting 3 acres of land and more particularly described |
|
|
as A0657 J. Wheat Block 42 Tract 11 Acres 3.0000 by the Tyler County |
|
|
Appraisal District records. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
