A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to livestock brand registration expiration. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Sections 144.044, Agriculture Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) Not later than the 60th day before the date a person's |
|
|
marks and brands are scheduled to expire under this section, the |
|
|
county clerk shall send written notice by mail of the impending |
|
|
expiration to the person at the person's last known address |
|
|
according to the records of the county. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
