A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to required reporting and online posting of certain |
|
|
information by solid waste facilities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 361.013(d), Health and Safety Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) The operator of each municipal solid waste facility |
|
|
shall maintain records and report to the commission annually on the |
|
|
amount and jurisdiction of origin of solid waste that the facility |
|
|
transfers, processes, stores, treats, or disposes of. Each |
|
|
transporter required to register with the commission shall maintain |
|
|
records and report to the commission annually on the amount of solid |
|
|
waste that the transporter transports. The commission by rule |
|
|
shall establish procedures for: |
|
|
(1) recordkeeping and reporting required under this |
|
|
subsection; and |
|
|
(2) posting information reported under this |
|
|
subsection on a publicly available Internet website. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
