A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the use of a load management program to meet an electric |
|
|
utility's energy efficiency goal. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 39.905, Utilities Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (j-1) to read as follows: |
|
|
(j-1) An electric utility may not use energy savings |
|
|
achieved through a load management program, including a load |
|
|
management standard offer program described by Subsection (a)(6), |
|
|
to achieve the utility's energy efficiency goal under this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
