A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the Texas Ethics Commission's jurisdiction to |
|
|
administer and enforce laws against certain persons. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 571.061, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) Notwithstanding any other law, the commission does not |
|
|
have jurisdiction to administer or enforce a law against a person |
|
|
other than an officer or employee of a governmental entity. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
