| relating to the carrying of weapons by staff in medical facilities. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 46.03, Penal Code, is amended by adding | ||
| subsection (j) to read as follows: | ||
| (j) It is an exception to subsections (a)(11) and (a)(12) if | ||
| the actor is an employee of the nursing facility, mental hospital, | ||
| or hospital where the possession occurred. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act take effect on September 1, 2025 | ||
