A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to radiation warning labels on electric vehicles. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter J, Chapter 2301, Occupations Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 2301.484 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 2301.484. REQUIRED RADIATION WARNING LABEL ON ELECTRIC |
|
|
VEHICLES. (a) In this section, "electric vehicle" means a motor |
|
|
vehicle powered only by electricity or battery. |
|
|
(b) A manufacturer of electric vehicles shall include on |
|
|
each electric vehicle produced by the manufacturer a warning label |
|
|
indicating the level of radiation produced by the electric vehicle. |
|
|
(c) The board shall adopt any rules necessary to implement |
|
|
this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
