A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to disclosure of information regarding an open-enrollment |
|
|
charter school's management company. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 12, Education Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 12.1212 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 12.1212. DISCLOSURE OF MANAGEMENT COMPANY |
|
|
INFORMATION. (a) An open-enrollment charter school that contracts |
|
|
with a management company to provide management services for the |
|
|
school must post in a prominent location on the school's Internet |
|
|
website home page: |
|
|
(1) the management company's name and principal place |
|
|
of business; or |
|
|
(2) a link through which a person may request the |
|
|
management company's name and principal place of business. |
|
|
(b) An open-enrollment charter school described by |
|
|
Subsection (a) shall promptly provide to a person who submits a |
|
|
request under Subsection (a)(2) the name and principal place of |
|
|
business of the school's management company. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
