A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to water conservation and reclamation equipment installed |
|
|
on recreational vehicles. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 6, Subchapter D, Water Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Section 6.116 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 6.116. RECREATIONAL VEHICLES: WATER CONSERVATION AND |
|
|
RECLAMATION. (a) In this section, "recreational vehicle" has the |
|
|
meaning assigned by the Texas Transportation Code. |
|
|
(b) The board shall assess the feasibility of establishing a |
|
|
program to promote the installation and use of water conservation |
|
|
and reclamation equipment on recreational vehicles sold and |
|
|
operated in the state. |
|
|
(c) The board shall establish by rule a program that |
|
|
promotes the installation of water conservation and reclamation |
|
|
equipment on new recreational vehicles sold in the state and used |
|
|
recreational vehicles registered in the state if the feasibility |
|
|
study concludes that such a program would lead to significant water |
|
|
conservation. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
