CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Autry C. Stephens is being posthumously inducted
  into the Petroleum Hall of Fame on April 10, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1967 by the Permian Basin Petroleum
  Museum in Midland, the Petroleum Hall of Fame recognizes
  individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the
  development of the petroleum industry or have served as inspiring
  examples to those in the industry; and
         WHEREAS, Autry Stephens was born in Comanche County in 1938;
  he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in petroleum
  engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and after
  working with various oil companies, he founded a sole
  proprietorship in 1979, which transformed into Endeavor Energy
  Resources, LP, in 2000; under his leadership, the company grew to
  become one of the largest private oil and gas operators in the
  Permian Basin; known for fostering a culture of innovation within
  the industry, Mr. Stephens pioneered techniques for maximizing
  production; moreover, he was an active philanthropist until his
  passing in 2024, and his company supported such organizations as
  Habitat for Humanity and the Museum of the Southwest; and
         WHEREAS, Through his tremendous vision, energy, and business
  acumen, Autry Stephens achieved a rare degree of success in the
  dynamic oil and gas industry, and he is indeed a worthy addition to
  the Petroleum Hall of Fame; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby honor the memory of Autry C. Stephens on the occasion of his
  posthumous induction into the Petroleum Hall of Fame and pay
  tribute to his life and legacy; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives and Senate.
