CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Canyon High School FFA Ag Issues team won first |
|
|
place in the 2024 Texas FFA State Agricultural Issues Forum, held at |
|
|
Sam Houston State University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Agricultural Issues Forum Leadership |
|
|
Development Event is a contest where students research a current |
|
|
agricultural issue, create a portfolio, develop a presentation that |
|
|
outlines the pros and cons of their topic, and present their |
|
|
findings to a panel of judges; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Canyon High School FFA Ag Issues team of Presley |
|
|
Davis, Lilli Klose, Gunnar McConlogue, Louden McConlogue, Evey |
|
|
McIntosh, and Allison Wade delivered an exceptional presentation on |
|
|
the use of artificial intelligence in agriculture; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through countless hours of preparation and an |
|
|
unwavering commitment to excellence, the members of the Canyon High |
|
|
School FFA Ag Issues team have brought tremendous credit to their |
|
|
school and their community, and they may take justifiable pride in |
|
|
their outstanding accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
|
hereby congratulate the Canyon High School FFA Ag Issues team on |
|
|
winning first place in the 2024 Texas FFA State Agricultural Issues |
|
|
Forum and extend to all those associated with the team sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives and Senate. |
