CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission
  has contributed immeasurably to the development and maintenance of
  the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park; and
         WHEREAS, Located in Conroe, the Montgomery County Veterans
  Memorial Park encompasses multiple memorial galleries honoring
  those who have served in our nation's armed forces; the park also
  features a classical memorial structure, a pathway lined with berms
  displaying the names of veterans, a tribute to all the branches of
  the United States military, and a flag and memorial honoring first
  responders; in addition, guests can learn more about the exhibits
  at the Visitors' and Education Center; and
         WHEREAS, The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission
  is the governing body of the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial
  Park; the nonprofit works to honor and support veterans,
  active-duty military, and first responders while preserving
  history and educating the public; the organization currently
  benefits from the able leadership of its chair, the Honorable
  Jimmie C. Edwards III; and
         WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to the
  men and women who have risked their lives in defense of our nation,
  and the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for its efforts to pay tribute to
  their sacrifice and dedication; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby honor the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission for
  its stewardship of the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park and
  extend to all those affiliated with the organization sincere best
  wishes for continued success in their important work; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the commission as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
