CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Dustin R. Womble was elected vice chair of the Texas
  Tech University System Board of Regents on April 14, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, First appointed to the board by Governor Greg Abbott
  in 2019, Mr. Womble was reappointed in March 2025; he currently
  chairs the organization's Facilities Committee, and he has also
  served as a member of the Finance & Investments Committee and the
  Audit Committee, as well as vice chair of the Carr Foundation Board
  of Trustees; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Womble has brought to the board of regents a
  wealth of experience gained on the TTU Rawls College of Business
  Advisory Council and the Texas Tech Foundation executive committee,
  and he has also given generously of his time and talents to numerous
  other boards and organizations through the years, including the
  Lubbock Christian School Board of Trustees and TRUNO board of
  directors; and
         WHEREAS, An alumnus of Texas Tech University, Mr. Womble
  graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business
  administration in information systems in 1981; he founded
  Interactive Computer Designs while a student at TTU, and in 1998, he
  sold the enterprise to Tyler Technologies and joined the company as
  executive vice president; retiring from Tyler in 2016, he completed
  his service on the company's board of directors in 2024; currently,
  he serves as a partner at Masked Rider Capital, which he helped
  found, and as chair of Service Compression, LLC; and
         WHEREAS, In taking on this new challenge, Dustin Womble has
  demonstrated a profound commitment to advancing the important goals
  of one of the largest systems of higher education in the Lone Star
  State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas
  hereby congratulate Dustin R. Womble on his election as vice chair
  of the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for a successful tenure; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Womble as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives and Senate.
