R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss |
|
|
with the tragic passing of Crystal Garcia Mendoza on January 13, |
|
|
2025, at the age of 40; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Felipe and Robin Garcia, the former |
|
|
Crystal Garcia was born in San Antonio on September 7, 1984, and she |
|
|
grew up with the companionship of two siblings, Felipe and |
|
|
Veronica; she shared a rewarding marriage with her husband, Gustavo |
|
|
Mendoza, and she took great pride in their daughter, Lucia; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While her loss is difficult to bear, Crystal Mendoza |
|
|
leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose lives are far |
|
|
richer for having known her, and she will always hold a treasured |
|
|
place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Crystal Garcia |
|
|
Mendoza and extend sincere condolences to the members of her |
|
|
family: to her husband, Gustavo Mendoza; to her daughter, Lucia |
|
|
Allison Garcia Mendoza; to her parents, Felipe and Robin Garcia; to |
|
|
her siblings, Felipe Garcia III and his wife, Margie, and Veronica |
|
|
Garcia Peres; to her nephews, Felipe Garcia IV and his wife, Martha, |
|
|
Sabastian Garcia and his wife, Alexis, Kaden Garcia, Chris Peres, |
|
|
and Leo Peres; to her great-nieces, Angelica Garcia and Adalina |
|
|
Garcia; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Crystal |
|
|
Mendoza. |
