R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Citizens and business leaders from San Jacinto
  County are gathering in Austin on February 6, 2025, to celebrate San
  Jacinto County Day at the State Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, San Jacinto County was established in 1870 with
  Coldspring as its county seat, and includes other notable towns
  such as Shepherd, Oakhurst, and Point Blank; and
         WHEREAS, Over half of San Jacinto County lies within the Sam
  Houston National Forest, and it is bordered on the east by Lake
  Livingston and the Trinity River; and
         WHEREAS, The lumber industry has played a crucial role in the
  area's development, with other abundant resources including oil,
  sand, and gas; and
         WHEREAS, San Jacinto County boasts a rich history and
  stunning natural beauty, and its residents can take great pride in
  their achievements as they continue to strive for an even brighter
  future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize February 6, 2025, as San Jacinto
  County Day at the State Capitol and extend sincere best wishes to
  the visiting delegation for an informative and enjoyable stay in
  Austin.
