R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Texas Baptist Children's Home in Round Rock is
  marking the 75th anniversary of its founding in 2025, offering a
  fitting opportunity to recognize the organization's myriad
  contributions to the community; and
         WHEREAS, Louis and Billie Sue Henna established Texas Baptist
  Children's Home in 1950 to provide quality care for abused and
  neglected children in Central Texas; the couple donated 112 acres
  of land and several newly constructed buildings to the Baptist
  General Convention of Texas, and over the years, the organization
  has grown to encompass a range of initiatives that empower those in
  need; and
         WHEREAS, Through its HOPE Counseling Program, TBCH provides
  no-cost, trauma-informed counseling and education to Williamson
  County residents at three locations; the nonprofit also offers the
  Family Care Program, which helps participants achieve long-term
  stability and take steps toward independent housing; in addition,
  the initiative gives children the opportunity to engage with one
  another and take part in camps, gym activities, and various special
  events; and
         WHEREAS, TBCH assists young adults through its Home Base
  Program, providing them with residential and support services, as
  well as through its Welcome HOME Program, which helps participants
  with personal development and community integration; moreover, its
  Aftercare Program offers former clients continued support,
  assisting with food, clothing, and scholarships; and
         WHEREAS, In 2024, TBCH received Best of Round Rock Awards in
  the best nonprofit focused on children and best experience for
  volunteers categories; it was also honored with the Central Texas
  Community Foundation Impact Award for its unwavering commitment to
  supporting children and families in Williamson County; and
         WHEREAS, For three quarters of a century, Texas Baptist
  Children's Home has rendered exceptional service to countless
  Texans in need, and the organization truly merits special
  recognition on the occasion of this milestone year; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 75th anniversary of Texas
  Baptist Children's Home and extend to all those associated with the
  organization sincere best wishes for continued success with their
  important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Texas Baptist Children's Home as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
