R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Corpus Christi Class 53 are
  visiting the State Capitol on January 29, 2025, providing a fitting
  opportunity to recognize the dedicated men and women of this
  exemplary organization; and
         WHEREAS, One of the oldest programs of its kind in the nation,
  Leadership Corpus Christi traces its origins to 1972, when the
  program was established in response to a local need for visionary
  and service-oriented leaders; since its inception, the program has
  worked to foster the development of dedicated individuals committed
  to ethical stewardship and active community engagement; and
         WHEREAS, Leadership Corpus Christi encourages its
  participants to apply their skills in service to their fellow
  citizens through various volunteer and civic activities; the
  program also provides opportunities for interactions with local,
  state, and national officials to help participants enhance their
  understanding of governmental operations and broaden their
  perspectives on the economic and social challenges facing their
  community; and
         WHEREAS, Leadership Corpus Christi Class 53 benefits from the
  able guidance of chair Thomas Cronnon and steering committee
  members Edward James Goodroe, Callie Walker, Javier Juarez, Jason
  Houlihan, Sammie Ramon, Tim Acosta, Marie Franco, Brian Pfeiffer,
  Sam Longoria, Baylea Cramer, and Joe Esquivel; and
         WHEREAS, Representing a diverse cross section of the local
  community, this year's Leadership Corpus Christi class includes 29
  individuals: Crystal Aguilar, Liann Alfaro, Michelle Alvarez,
  Zachary Anderson, Lander Baiamonte, Clayton Boerjan, Brenda
  Christmas, Mason Davidson, Brianna Davis, Amanda De Leon, Alan De
  La Rosa, Avery Durrill-Reny, Katie Galan, Ross Garcia, Bryana
  Garza, Ernesto Herrera, Kendra Hickman, Connie Lein, Sulakshana
  Modak, Alyssa Monette, Dino Mulic, Shalini Narang, Cecilia Orozco,
  John Prezas, Bobby Rodriguez, Stephen Skrobarczyk, Ashley Smith,
  Michael Stineman, and Imelda Trevino; and
         WHEREAS, Leadership Corpus Christi has made a lasting,
  positive impact on its members as well as the wider community, and
  all those associated with the program are indeed deserving of
  special recognition for their outstanding contributions; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize January 29, 2025, as Leadership Corpus
  Christi Day at the State Capitol and extend to the delegation
  sincere best wishes for a memorable and productive visit to Austin;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
