R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Tyler Wade of Terrell achieved great distinction by
  winning the 2024 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Team Roping
  World Championship at the 2024 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo; and
         WHEREAS, Entering the competition as the defending PRCA team
  roping world champions, Mr. Wade and his partner, Wesley Thorp,
  delivered an outstanding performance at the NFR on December 14 at
  the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas; after placing in six rounds
  and winning rounds 1, 2, and 5, the duo found themselves trailing
  heading into round 10; with the title on the line, they secured
  their gold belt buckles in dramatic fashion, stopping the clock in a
  lightning-fast time of 3.8 seconds to clinch the overall win and
  repeat as world champions; with their impressive showing, Mr. Wade,
  the header, and Mr. Thorp, the heeler, finished atop the PRCA world
  standings with $361,480 apiece, breaking a single season record; at
  the event, Mr. Wade worked in sync with his horse, Espuela Bro; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Wade first competed in team roping as a heeler
  before going on to be selected as the 2012 Resistol Rookie of the
  Year in heading; this talented athlete has seven NFR qualifications
  under his belt and has won a host of competitions over the years,
  including the Stockyards Pro Rodeo, the Heart O' Texas Rodeo, and
  the Mesquite Championship Rodeo; 2024 marked his fourth consecutive
  top-10 finish in the team roping header world standings; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Wade benefits from the
  love and support of a fine family that includes his wife, Jessi, his
  son, Weston, his father, Jerry, his mother, Raelyn, and his
  sisters, Taryn and Tory; and
         WHEREAS, By winning back-to-back team roping titles, Tyler
  Wade has distinguished himself as one of the premier performers in
  his sport, and his latest world championship has furthered the Lone
  Star State's reputation for rodeo excellence; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tyler Wade on winning the 2024
  Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Team Roping World
  Championship and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Wade as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
