R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Maria Guzman has been honored with the EXCEL Award |
|
|
for the South San Antonio Independent School District by Credit |
|
|
Human and the KENS 5 television station; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, KENS 5 partners with Credit Human to |
|
|
present the EXCEL Awards to outstanding educators from local school |
|
|
districts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Guzman is a second-grade teacher at Hutchins |
|
|
Elementary School in San Antonio; an experienced educator, she has |
|
|
demonstrated a commitment to connecting with each of her students, |
|
|
fostering confidence in the classroom, and inspiring a love of |
|
|
learning; her efforts were previously recognized with her selection |
|
|
as the 2015-2016 Hutchins Elementary School Teacher of the Year; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Maria Guzman has made |
|
|
a positive difference in the lives of countless young Texans, and |
|
|
her dedication, expertise, and innovative spirit have earned her |
|
|
the lasting respect and admiration of her students and colleagues |
|
|
alike; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Maria Guzman on receiving the EXCEL |
|
|
Award for the South San Antonio Independent School District and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in her |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Guzman as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
