R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The members of Kingdom Connection Worship Center in |
|
|
Brownsville are celebrating the 14th anniversary of their church's |
|
|
founding on January 23, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A multicultural, nondenominational institution |
|
|
first organized in 2011, Kingdom Connection Worship Center has |
|
|
benefited from the dedicated efforts of Pastors Dr. Donald J. Hamm |
|
|
and Angelica Hamm, who lead the congregation today; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, United by their shared faith and strong traditions, |
|
|
the members of this notable house of worship have established a |
|
|
variety of commendable programs that foster fellowship and offer |
|
|
help to those in need, including a food distribution initiative |
|
|
during the COVID-19 pandemic, Black history and Juneteenth |
|
|
celebrations, and a collaboration with the South Texas Mass Choir; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Countless Brownsville residents have looked to |
|
|
Kingdom Connection Worship Center for spiritual guidance over the |
|
|
years, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring the church at this |
|
|
special time in its rich history; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 14th anniversary of Kingdom |
|
|
Connection Worship Center and extend to the congregation sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
