R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The annual Bon Temps Rouler Cajun Throwdown BBQ and |
|
|
Crawfish Cook-Off is taking place at Mac McGaffey Highland Bayou |
|
|
Park in La Marque on March 21 and 22, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This much-anticipated event celebrates the rich |
|
|
culinary traditions and vibrant community spirit of Texas and |
|
|
attracts visitors from across the state and beyond; attendees have |
|
|
the opportunity to sample a variety of savory dishes while enjoying |
|
|
a fun, family-oriented get-together that also includes live music |
|
|
and local vendors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Presented by BTR Caring for Kids Foundation, a |
|
|
nonprofit committed to improving the lives of children, as well as |
|
|
the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce, the contest raises |
|
|
funds for deserving organizations and initiatives; it also serves |
|
|
to highlight the dedication of local organizations to fostering |
|
|
unity, supporting charitable endeavors, and promoting the region's |
|
|
unique culture; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Bon Temps Rouler Cajun Throwdown BBQ and |
|
|
Crawfish Cook-Off offers area residents and visitors alike the |
|
|
chance to enjoy excellent food and spirited competition while |
|
|
benefiting worthwhile causes, and it promises to be a source of fond |
|
|
memories for all who attend; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 2025 Bon Temps Rouler Cajun |
|
|
Throwdown BBQ and Crawfish Cook-Off and extend to the organizers, |
|
|
contestants, and attendees sincere best wishes for a fun and |
|
|
successful event; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
|
for BTR Caring for Kids Foundation and the Texas City-La Marque |
|
|
Chamber of Commerce as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
