R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent |
|
School District has been selected as a CTE District of Distinction |
|
by the Career and Technical Association of Texas; and |
|
WHEREAS, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD was one of only 38 |
|
school districts in Texas to receive this esteemed recognition, |
|
which honors career and technical education programs that |
|
demonstrate exemplary leadership, innovation, and commitment to |
|
student success; the CTE District of Distinction accolade also |
|
highlights programs that excel in preparing students for the |
|
workforce and that are dedicated to making a positive difference in |
|
the community; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City CTE Department |
|
offers 16 different areas of study and 86 different courses, with |
|
classes taking place at Clemens High School, Byron P. Steele High |
|
School, Ray D. Corbett Junior High School, and J. Frank Dobie Junior |
|
High School; the program encompasses more than 5,000 students, some |
|
60 full-time instructors, and many blended academic/CTE educators; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Through its exceptional efforts to engage and |
|
motivate students, the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City CTE |
|
Department has built an outstanding record of achievement, and the |
|
district is indeed deserving of this prestigious award; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City |
|
Independent School District on being named a CTE District of |
|
Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas and |
|
extend to all those affiliated with the district's CTE Department |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the school district as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
