R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Great Beginnings Early Childhood Center at St. Paul |
|
Lutheran Church in Harlingen has received Texas Rising Star |
|
certification from the Texas Workforce Commission; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Texas Rising Star initiative is a quality rating |
|
and improvement system for child care programs participating in |
|
TWC's Child Care Services program; certification is available to |
|
child care centers throughout the state that demonstrate a |
|
consistent and high level of compliance with Child Care Regulation |
|
minimum standards; and |
|
WHEREAS, Great Beginnings is a faith-based organization that |
|
serves children between the ages of six weeks and three years; ably |
|
led by director Carla Wisdom, the program includes chapel services, |
|
meals, and instructional activities; moreover, the center utilizes |
|
Frog Street Curriculum, which is comprehensive and research-based |
|
and aligns with state and federal standards; and |
|
WHEREAS, Great Beginnings plays a vital role in providing |
|
young Texans with a strong foundation on which to build, and this |
|
well-deserved designation is a testament to the skill and |
|
dedication of its administrators and staff; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Great Beginnings Early Childhood |
|
Center on receiving Texas Rising Star certification from the Texas |
|
Workforce Commission and extend to all those associated with the |
|
program sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
