R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas State Chapter of the National Association |
|
|
of Insurance and Financial Advisors is celebrating the 100th |
|
|
anniversary of its founding in 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, NAIFA-Texas was established as the Texas |
|
|
Association of Life Underwriters in 1925, and it adopted its |
|
|
current name in 1999; since its inception, the organization has |
|
|
advocated in behalf of financial service professionals across the |
|
|
state; it has also worked to foster a positive legislative and |
|
|
regulatory environment, enhance business and professional skills, |
|
|
and promote the ethical conduct of its members; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Today, NAIFA-Texas is composed of 10 local chapter |
|
|
and affiliate associations, and it represents more than 1,300 |
|
|
members statewide; in addition to supporting the professional |
|
|
development of its members, the organization honors industry |
|
|
leaders through its awards program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the past century, NAIFA-Texas has played an |
|
|
instrumental role in advancing the field of insurance and financial |
|
|
services in the state, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing |
|
|
the organization on this special occasion; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Texas |
|
|
State Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and |
|
|
Financial Advisors and extend to all those affiliated with the |
|
|
organization sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for NAIFA-Texas as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
