R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Annette Sánchez has been elected to the position of |
|
|
Zone 8 director on the National Association of Elementary School |
|
|
Principals Board of Directors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than two decades, Ms. Sánchez has served as |
|
|
a principal in the Beeville Independent School District; deeply |
|
|
committed to advancing high-quality education for all students, she |
|
|
has championed such policies as universal prekindergarten; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Sánchez is a past president of the Texas |
|
|
Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association, which |
|
|
recognized her in 2015 as Region 2 TEPSAN of the Year; in addition, |
|
|
she lends her time and expertise as a member of various other |
|
|
organizations, including the Junior Service League and the national |
|
|
task force for the Women in Education Leading and Learning Summit; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her dedication, professionalism, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence, Annette Sánchez has benefited many |
|
|
students and educators over the years, and the experience she has |
|
|
acquired along the way will serve her well as she takes on this |
|
|
challenging new role; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Annette Sánchez on being elected to |
|
|
the position of Zone 8 director on the National Association of |
|
|
Elementary School Principals Board of Directors and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for a successful and productive tenure; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Sánchez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
