R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The tragic passing of Sergeant Roberto Manuel
  Castillo of the Webb County Sheriff's Office on December 21, 2024,
  at the age of 46, has deeply saddened his family, friends, and
  colleagues, as well as numerous people in the wider community; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Lilia and Juan J. Castillo Sr., Robert
  Castillo was born on December 8, 1978, and he grew up with the
  companionship of three siblings, Marco, Juan, and Melissa; he
  shared a fulfilling marriage with his wife, Doreen Hale, and he took
  great pride in their son, Roberto Oscar Hale; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Castillo enjoyed a rewarding career at the Webb
  County Sheriff's Office, where he served as a sergeant; over the
  course of his tenure, he demonstrated a steadfast commitment to
  safety, and he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues
  and fellow citizens alike for his integrity, dedication, and
  professionalism; and
         WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Castillo cherished time spent
  with his family; during the Christmas season, he took great joy in
  decorating their home, and he and his son participated in an annual
  tradition of watching holiday films together; and
         WHEREAS, Sergeant Robert Castillo was a compassionate and
  caring law enforcement officer who embodied the highest ideals of
  his profession, and those he leaves behind will forever hold him
  close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Sergeant Roberto
  Manuel Castillo and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his
  family: to his wife, Doreen Hale; to his son, Roberto Oscar Hale; to
  his parents, Lilia and Juan J. Castillo Sr.; to his siblings, Juan
  J. Castillo Jr. and Melissa M. Pici and her husband, Matthew; to his
  honorary brother, Raul Guerra; and to his other relatives and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robert
  Castillo.
