R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, James McAllen III of Linn-San Manuel is a junior |
|
|
enrolled in the Classical Conversations homeschool program, and he |
|
|
has distinguished himself through his myriad achievements; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1997, Classical Conversations is a |
|
|
faith-based curriculum program that empowers parents to guide their |
|
|
children's educational development through the classical model; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. McAllen serves as a cadet in the Civil Air |
|
|
Patrol, the auxiliary branch of the United States Air Force, and in |
|
|
January 2025, he completed training at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp |
|
|
Bullis and JBSA-Lackland Air Force Base; he also earned the Pope |
|
|
Pius XII religious emblem, a distinguished honor in Scouting |
|
|
America that acknowledges youth ministry and leadership, and he is |
|
|
currently finalizing his board of review to earn the prestigious |
|
|
rank of Eagle Scout in Troop No. 76 of McAllen; in addition, he |
|
|
completed TeenPact Legislature, where he gained firsthand |
|
|
knowledge of the political process; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Demonstrating a strong work ethic and an unwavering |
|
|
commitment to excellence, James McAllen is a source of pride for the |
|
|
Classical Conversations homeschool program, and he is poised for |
|
|
further success in the years ahead; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize James McAllen III for his |
|
|
accomplishments and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. McAllen as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
