R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Our communities draw immeasurable strength from |
|
|
individuals such as Kathleen Martinez of Dallas, who has |
|
|
distinguished herself in the course of her exemplary career in |
|
|
immigration law; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Martinez is the founder and managing attorney |
|
|
of Martinez Immigration Global Law Firm, which has a primary office |
|
|
in Allen; under her able leadership, the firm has helped numerous |
|
|
immigrants gain legal status and reunite with their families; in |
|
|
addition, she works to raise awareness about issues impacting |
|
|
immigrants on social media platforms such as TikTok, where she has |
|
|
amassed more than two million followers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Martinez has been involved in the Dallas Bar |
|
|
Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association; |
|
|
among her many accomplishments, she was recognized as an Elite |
|
|
Lawyer in 2023, and that same year, she was named the Best |
|
|
Immigration Lawyer in Plano by Quality Business Awards; in 2024, |
|
|
she received recognition from Top Lawyers USA; she holds a |
|
|
bachelor's degree from Mount Saint Mary's University in Los Angeles |
|
|
and a juris doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San |
|
|
Diego; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Kathleen Martinez has demonstrated a steadfast |
|
|
commitment to advocating for justice, serving the underserved, and |
|
|
promoting equal opportunities for all, and in so doing, she has set |
|
|
an inspiring example of professional excellence; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Kathleen Martinez for her work as an |
|
|
immigration attorney and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Martinez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
