R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Representatives of HCA Healthcare are gathering in |
|
Austin on February 19, 2025, for HCA Healthcare Advocacy Day at the |
|
State Capitol; and |
|
WHEREAS, Consisting of nearly 200 hospitals and some 2,400 |
|
sites of care, HCA Healthcare is one of the largest health care |
|
systems in the United States and the United Kingdom; it is a |
|
significant medical provider in the Dallas community, and residents |
|
are fortunate to have access to a comprehensive range of care at |
|
three HCA Healthcare-affiliated institutions, Medical City Dallas |
|
Hospital, Medical City Children's Hospital, and Medical City Green |
|
Oaks Hospital; and |
|
WHEREAS, Medical City Dallas is an award-winning, 899-bed |
|
hospital that is recognized for its state-of-the-art medical |
|
facilities, and Medical City Children's is a 254-bed campus |
|
consisting of full-service children and adult hospitals, a Level IV |
|
neonatal intensive care unit, and a Level IV maternal care |
|
facility; a full spectrum of psychiatric services is also provided |
|
through Medical City Green Oaks, a 124-bed hospital staffed by |
|
licensed and specially trained mental health professionals; and |
|
WHEREAS, The physicians, staff, and administrators at these |
|
hospitals have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the highest |
|
standards of care, and it is fitting to recognize the positive |
|
impact they have had in the lives of countless adults, children, and |
|
families in the community they serve; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Medical City Dallas Hospital, Medical City |
|
Children's Hospital, and Medical City Green Oaks Hospital on the |
|
occasion of HCA Healthcare Advocacy Day at the State Capitol on |
|
February 19, 2025, and extend to the visiting delegation sincere |
|
best wishes for an enjoyable and productive visit to Austin; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
for the hospitals as an expression of high regard by the Texas House |
|
of Representatives. |
