R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 10th annual Fire in the Hole BBQ Cook-Off is |
|
|
taking place in Somerset on May 2 and 3, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one |
|
|
of the organization's state championship cook-offs, this |
|
|
much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across Texas |
|
|
and beyond; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These highly skilled pitmasters are putting their |
|
|
culinary abilities to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest |
|
|
entries in several different categories; guests have the |
|
|
opportunity to sample a variety of savory dishes while enjoying a |
|
|
fun, family-oriented get-together; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The contest is hosted by American Legion Post |
|
|
No. 443, which is the third-oldest chapter of the organization in |
|
|
the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Fire in the Hole BBQ Cook-Off is a fitting |
|
|
celebration of the delectable fare that is such an integral part of |
|
|
Texas culture, and it promises to be a source of fond memories for |
|
|
all who attend; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 2025 Fire in the Hole BBQ |
|
|
Cook-Off and extend to the organizers, contestants, and attendees |
|
|
sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event. |
