R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Five interns from Tarleton State University, one of |
|
|
the crown jewels of the Texas A&M University System, are providing |
|
|
valuable support to the Texas Legislature during the 89th |
|
|
Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since the establishment of its internship program in |
|
|
2010, Tarleton State University has sent numerous students to the |
|
|
State Capitol, where they handle a wide variety of challenging |
|
|
tasks while gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service and learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; current Tarleton |
|
|
interns are Lacy Malone, Nicholla Webb, Kaydence Vertner, Ashton |
|
|
Maitlen, and Madeleine Odom; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These outstanding young people are performing their |
|
|
duties with skill and dedication, and they are indeed deserving of |
|
|
special recognition for their fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize the 2025 Tarleton State University |
|
|
legislative interns and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success in all their endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
|
for the interns as an expression of high regard by the Texas House |
|
|
of Representatives. |
