R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss |
|
with the tragic passing of Sarah Bottecelli Koller on August 25, |
|
2024, at the age of 40; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Charles A. Koller and Paula |
|
Bottecelli, Sarah Koller was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on |
|
July 16, 1984, and she grew up with the companionship of four |
|
younger siblings, Paul, David, Rachel, and Leah; she cherished the |
|
relationship she shared with her partner, Steven Konarik; and |
|
WHEREAS, Passionate about bringing people together, |
|
Ms. Koller opened a coffee shop in Columbus, Texas; she further |
|
distinguished herself as a dedicated champion for breast cancer |
|
patients, and she contributed to advocacy efforts at the State |
|
Capitol; she also participated in cross-country biking events to |
|
raise awareness and funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; an |
|
avid supporter of animal welfare organizations, she frequently |
|
fostered dogs; and |
|
WHEREAS, Above all else, Ms. Koller treasured time spent with |
|
her loved ones, and she was a source of support and inspiration to |
|
all who knew her; her many hobbies included swimming, running |
|
marathons, and cheering on her favorite baseball teams, and she |
|
enjoyed attending rodeos and looking at Christmas lights during the |
|
holiday season; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Sarah Koller is greatly missed, her family |
|
and friends will forever cherish their memories of her warm and |
|
caring nature, her generosity, and her enthusiasm for life; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Sarah Bottecelli |
|
Koller and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn her passing; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sarah |
|
Koller. |
