R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The passing of Kenny Salazar of Perrin on
  February 19, 2025, at the age of 57, brought an immeasurable loss to
  his family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Lucy Robbins and Wally and JoAnn Salazar,
  Kenny Salazar was born in Bridgeport on January 23, 1968, and he was
  blessed with the companionship of three siblings, Debbie, Junior,
  and Denise; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Salazar was elected as the Precinct 2
  commissioner of Jack County in 2022; dedicated to his community, he
  also established the Perrin Community Improvement and Crime Watch,
  and he actively participated in ensuring his neighborhood's safety;
  and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Salazar benefited from
  the love and support of his wife, Amy, with whom he shared a
  rewarding marriage of 34 years; he took great pride in his
  daughters, Cameron, Sadie, Kaley, and Kaitlyn, and with the passing
  years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to include
  eight grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Always the life of the party, Mr. Salazar enjoyed a
  career as a deejay, and he also spent many happy hours playing the
  drums, cheering on the Texas Longhorns, riding his motorcycle, and
  going on fishing and road trips with his grandchildren; above all,
  he was devoted to his family and his faith; and
         WHEREAS, Although Kenny Salazar is deeply missed, memories of
  his passion for life, his devotion to his community, and his keen
  sense of humor remain to comfort and inspire those he leaves behind;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kenny Salazar and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family:  to his wife,
  Amy Salazar; to his daughters, Cameron Garza and her husband,
  George, Sadie Bolton, Kaley Salazar and her husband, Sanch Ramirez,
  and Kaitlyn Ashley and her husband, Ty; to his grandchildren, Brody
  and Braelee Bolton, Isaac, Isaiah, and Elias Ramirez, Emersyn and
  Bellamy Garza, and Watson Ashley; to his siblings, Debbie Brock,
  Junior Salazar, and Denise Salazar; to his parents, Lucy Robbins
  and Wally Salazar and his wife, JoAnn; and to his other relatives
  and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kenny
  Salazar.
