R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
BE IT RESOLVED, By the House of Representatives of the 89th |
|
|
Texas Legislature, That the Committee on House Administration is |
|
|
hereby directed to convey to the State Preservation Board the |
|
|
request of the house of representatives that not later than |
|
|
September 1, 2025, the preservation board permanently display a |
|
|
framed copy of the Ten Commandments in the house chamber in a manner |
|
|
that is prominent and visible from all angles to members of the |
|
|
house from the house floor; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the wording of the Ten Commandments shall be |
|
|
the same as the wording on the Ten Commandments Monument located on |
|
|
the Capitol grounds; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Committee on House Administration shall |
|
|
provide any appropriate assistance to the State Preservation Board |
|
|
to carry out the house's request in this matter. |
