R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the current class of Leadership Gillespie |
|
County are visiting the State Capitol on March 5, 2025; and |
|
WHEREAS, Created by the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce in |
|
1994, Leadership Gillespie County was formed to expand the network |
|
of potential county leaders and to enhance its participants' |
|
knowledge of local issues and familiarity with area businesses, |
|
schools, hospitals, government, and civic and charitable |
|
organizations; over the years, the program has helped more than 500 |
|
area residents develop a greater understanding of the challenges |
|
and opportunities facing the community; and |
|
WHEREAS, Leadership Gillespie County requires a two-year |
|
commitment, and its members take part in a program that inspires |
|
advocacy and teamwork; participants in the 2025 class include Jules |
|
Felder, Lauren Smith, Kandis Pyka, Elle Fischer, Caitlin Hoover, |
|
Leslie Kneese, Alyssa Rivera, Amber Alex, Sonja Gutierrez, Kelsey |
|
Heintze, Natalie Rhodes, Diane Schofield, Chelsea Scott, Todd |
|
Weiss, Victoria Shostack, Ryan Benitez, Tammy Boos-Baker, Ronald |
|
Demers, Aaron Stegar, Chris Semmler, Jorge Rodriguez, and Roger |
|
Galindo; and |
|
WHEREAS, For more than three decades, Leadership Gillespie |
|
County has helped build a more informed and engaged citizenry, and |
|
it is a pleasure to recognize the organization for the important |
|
role it plays in the community; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Leadership Gillespie County for its |
|
promotion of civic leadership and volunteerism and extend to its |
|
participants sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
